Technical Data Sheet

Rakshak Fire Retardant Paint WT is a water based Intumescent Paint. 

It is formulated so as to resist fire on Concrete, Mild Steel, wood and electrical ducts for 90 to 120 minutes.

It has the following characteristics-

1 Colour : White, Grey or any light shade on demand
2 Gloss : Eggshell
3 Solid contents (% by volume): 50 ± 2 %
4 Specific Gravity: 1.30 ± 0.03
5 Recommended Film Thickness: 800 To 1500 microns (depends on suitability and application conditions.)
6 Flash Point : Non flammable
7 Drying Time  at 35°C 
room temperature :		 2.5 hours dry to touch.
5 to 6 hours dry to handle.
8 Hardness Test : Test Passes (After 8 days)
9 Pack Sizes
:		 1 Litre, 4 Litre, 10 Litre, 20 Litre
10 Covering & Fire retardant
rating (combination with base & mid coat) :		 1 Kg per sq/mt for one hour.
2 Kg per sq /mt for two hour.
11 Fire Test (After 15 days) : 120 minute test passes with fire blower. (subject to 2 kg per sq/mt with base and top coat)
12 Storage Life : 1 Year when stored in sealed unopened container
     

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION

13. On Concrete Substrates :

1001 FR Concrete Primer WT 1 to 2 coats
Rakshak Fire Retardant Paint WT (Top Coat) SKFR02 4 to 7 Coats

14. On Wooden Substrates :

1001 Wood PS Primer ST 1 to 2 coats
Rakshak Fire Retardant Paint WT (Top Coat) SKFR02 4 to 7 Coats

15. On Mild Steel Substrates :

1001 / Elite/ Infinity -Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer ST 2 to 3 coats
Rakshak Fire Retardant Paint WT (Top Coat) SKFR02 4 to 7 Coats

16. Application Process :

Surface Preparation: The surface should be properly primed with suitable primer.
Application Conditions:   Minimum temperature at 10° C and relative humidity 20 – 85%.
Recoating Interval:  2.5 hours or more till paint dries.
Application: Use airless spray for application.
